This policy explains what Sasha Anya LLC, doing business as ALT Engine and Chris Meroff Consulting ("we," "us"), collects, why, and who can see it. It covers the ALT Engine app (altengine.ai), our website getaltengine.com, our free assessments (the ALT Leadership Score and the ALT Drift Test), bookings with Chris Meroff, and related email.
a. Account and billing information: name, email, password (stored securely, never in plain text), organization name and role, plan and subscription status. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us; we see only the card brand, last four digits and expiry date.
b. Private leader content (app): journals, reflections, private notes, 1:1 notes, plans, commitments, in-app assessment and survey answers and results, and AI conversations.
c. Connected account data (only if you connect it): if you connect Google, we access the Gmail and Calendar data you authorize and use it only to power features you turn on (for example, picking up commitments from your calendar). You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Integrations.
d. Team data: if your organization uses team features, team members' names, emails and roles, and aggregated team results.
e. Usage and device data: log data such as IP address, browser, pages and features used, error reports, and setup progress (for example, whether onboarding is complete).
f. Website assessments (getaltengine.com): when you finish the free ALT Leadership Score or ALT Drift Test on our website, we keep a record of that run: your multiple-choice answers (there are no free-text questions), your scores, which built-in consistency checks were triggered, the median time you spent per question, and, if you give us your email, a link to it. If you ask us to email your results or join our list, we also keep your email address in our email tool (Mailchimp) with tags based on your answers, such as your role, your situation, your lowest-scoring area, and how you found us (for example, the link or campaign you came from). The email with your results includes your scores and a short summary of them. We use these to send your results and relevant follow-up email, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. We keep website assessment records for up to 24 months after you last take an assessment, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
g. Bookings and communications: if you book time with Chris, the details you give in the booking form; and emails you send to support, sales or us.
To provide and secure the Service; to run features you turn on (including AI); to process payments; to send service emails (receipts, trial and renewal reminders, security notices, and setup tips you can turn off); to answer support requests; to follow up on a website assessment or booking when you've given us your email; to improve the Service using usage data and de-identified aggregates; to send marketing email if you've agreed or where the law allows (you can unsubscribe anytime); and to comply with the law.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
AI features send the content needed for a request (for example, your notes for a summary) to our AI model provider to generate a response. The provider processes it for us and is not permitted to use it to train its models. AI answers cite their sources, and you can turn AI off at any time in Account → AI settings. ALT Engine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our sites use cookies that are needed to run them, such as keeping you signed in and keeping the Service secure. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. On our marketing website we count visits, and how many people start and finish the free ALT Leadership Score and ALT Drift Test, with a privacy-focused analytics tool that sets no cookies and doesn't record your name, email address or answers. If we add other analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this policy before they go on and give you choices where the law requires.
We keep account information and Your Content while your account is open. When you close your account, we delete your content from our active systems within 30 days, and remaining backup copies are deleted as those backups expire, except where we must keep records (for example, billing records for tax). Website assessment records are kept as described in section 1f. Marketing data stays until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
You can access, correct, export or delete your information, and opt out of marketing emails, by using the app settings or emailing support@altengine.ai. Depending on where you live (for example, Texas, California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request by replying to our decision. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
We use encryption in transit, access controls and database permissions that limit who can see what, and we limit who can access our systems. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.
ALT Engine is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
We store your data in the United States. Our service providers handle the data they process for us under their own terms.
This is an interim version and we expect to update it after legal review. We'll post updates here and tell you by email or in the app before material changes take effect.
